Meet Nikita
Nikita started her technology journey in high school, when she chose a programming class over an art class. That decision led to a Computer Science degree at Oregon State University and a role as a full-stack engineer at a software consulting firm. After pivoting toward data science and AI engineering, Nikita moved into R1 and now works as a software/data/ML Ops engineer in the healthcare industry. Still early in her career, she loves learning about the intersection of tech and other industries to solve novel, challenging problems.
Before stepping into adulthood full time, Nikita was a professional freeskier in slopestyle and halfpipe. She competed in international events, World Cups, and the Olympic Trials for Beijing 2022 before retiring in 2024. You can still catch her on the slopes and in the backcountry throughout the western United States, though Bogus Basin remains one of her favorite places to ski. Outside of winter, she enjoys hiking, swimming, paddleboarding, and attempting to tame her two huskies, her house, and her boyfriend in Boise.
She strongly believes anyone can work in technology, which is why she sought out Treasure Valley Women in Tech when returning to Boise in 2024. What began as a networking opportunity quickly became a rich, supportive community helping people build confidence across all areas of tech. Now, she brings this same energy to supporting TV WIT, designing events that demonstrate anyone who wants to work in tech is both capable—and welcome.
